Stop Using an Unsafe or Leaking Disposal
Do not put your hand into the disposal chamber. Turn the disposal switch off and stop using the unit if it is jammed, leaking, making an abnormal sound, or repeatedly tripping protection. Repair or Replace the Garbage Disposal?

The replacement plan must fit the sink, mounting, connections, power arrangement, and intended use.
What to Tell Us Before the Visit
Share the model if visible, what happens when the switch is used, where water appears, whether the sink also drains slowly, whether a dishwasher connects to the unit, and any recent object or food event. Stop using the disposal if continued operation may worsen a leak or mechanical problem.
